Tongue The first two Pie gigs are already cancelled and we are replaced as well. Would have been an enormous stress to try to fullfill our duty there. Oh and yes, my thoughts have wandered to Purple and Smoke on the water. At least there is a fire burning in our hearts!

Am feeling with you cause this sad message, but think a little bit of deep purple - smoke on the water would not exist if they had not experienced anything equal on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Hope, this will trust a little. Albin (Leonding, Austria)

Sad news. Sad I feel really sick to my stumack thinking of those poor animals that burned to death. Equipment is replaceable, thank heavens! Biggrin And I am so glad that none of you were injured Smile I hope you will come to Germany some day. I don't care which of your bands, as long as it's you on stage singing and looking good. Tongue I'd like to kiss you, do you dare?

Thanks to you all for support & good wishes. Pie rehearsals will start up with burrowed gear already now next Tuesday. We are all more than ever, eager to look forward and we´ll make sure that this bad luck will only make us stronger... and better ! E

Keep up the good work, I am sorry for your loss but you still have the persons that are close to and your talent, instruments you can buy, not memory and special people in your live.

WTF? Sad Sorry about the studio, man... Glad to read it was "only" equipment that got lost. I pray you won't have to cancel anything! Stay metal!

Hi Eiríkur! First of all, congratulations for your first grandchild! Along with the spring he will strengthen and grow.Smile

I started to read your blog like Yeah! a new blog, but then I was scared, oh no, did you and Magic Pie lose all of your work and your new record and everything in the fire. Then a relief that all of you are safe and your recording materials also. It is a big shock now with the equipment, but you will get new ones sooner or later and complete the record and do wonderfull gigs. Wish I can come to see you perform one day and maybe you even come to play in Finland in the future!

Oh, life in all is partly happy and partly sad, sometimes you can´t affect on what is going to happen, you only can go forward and try to do the right things and believe in good things in the futureSmile

Love and Hugs from Soile

Eiríkur, I'm really so very sorry and sad to hear those news about the fire, but remember my friend that such things may happen to anyone and nobody is cursed or being punished or anything like that. God tries us in many ways and this you have come to see when you were ill at the beginning of this century - but you didn't let go then, you struggled and came up on top, with the help of your family and God who loves you. And now that none of you guys are injured or anything like that it will be a matter of practical arrangements - that you COULD have lived without *sighing* - but still the best part is that the recordings didn't go to waste, so we have the cancelling of two concerts plus purchasing or borrowing of new equipment left to worry about. And maybe there won't be any trouble with the insurance companies either. Oh Eiríkur, I must admit that I cried when I read your blog, but after a cup of strong coffee the situation doesn't look as bad as an hour ago. You must really help each other in the band and do not let it destroy your internal relationships since a thing like this could be a horrible strain on the nerves. Now you must all be strong and try to build up everything the way it was. You and the other members of Magic Pie are not alone, all your fans and friends feel for you and are hoping things will get solved as soon as possible.

And then finally, to your good news! There you see that life is a roller-coaster...I wish your whole family all the best from my heart. And I hope that the little one turns out red-haired with freckles and gets his grandfather's temper and good heart and talent for football and music:-)

Much love and comforting hugs,
Cathy

Lot’s of congratulation for the birth of your grandson. I’m extremely happy and excited for you and your family, and that your grandson and daughter are ok .Any pictures of the most beautiful creature on earth? You will see now, how much your daughter will need her dad.

So the equipment is gone. Not pleasant, but these things are material stuff, easy to replace. You are not curse, you are lucky!

Btw, this CD is really a “suffering joy”!

Love

I heard of you when we were in Reykjavik a couple of years ago, and I love having found your homepage. You are more versatile in your music than I expected. What a great surprise Tongue Now I need go back to the photo albums. You are stunningly handsome, in this typical light skinned viking way. Love it!

Hi again Eirikur, and thanks a lot for your kind answer, though being one without the news I had hoped for :-( ;-) Keeping confident in further gigs with “Live-Fire” to come soon, :-) Take care, Bettie

Hi Bettie! The Hamburg-concert is without Live-Fire. Either it is solo, or with a German band. Ken doesn´t play a lot and sometimes when the call comes we can´t join in because we´re booked already. Let´s hope for another gig later. Eirikur
