You live in another country than your birth country. What made you decide to take such a big step? Was it an easy choice? Have you ever regretted it? Do you feel accepted as a Norwegian citizen, or do you feel treated like a foreigner still? I ask, as I as a wife had to choose if I wanted to live far away from my husband or move to Norway with our kids to be closer to him. I love the country (it is so beautiful!) and hope to learn the language some day soon.
Hello Olga! I started working with a metal band here in Norway and at the same time I had become this huge pop star in Iceland. I wanted some changes so it was an easy choice. Norwegians look at Icelanders almost like their little brothers and sisters. We are a small nation and therefore not too dangerous. They treat us well but they don't have too much respect I am afraid. I do not regret moving to Norway, and anyway I do just as much work in Iceland as I do here. - Eiríkur. |
