Have you always been a musician, or do you have another education you could have gone back to if your career as a musician should have failed?

I am educated as a teacher and I have in short periods worked as a teacher as well. But now I am "doomed" to be a musician for the rest of my life. I mean; how could I go back to 9 to 5 now... Simply quite impossible.
