Hello, Eiríkur! You going for sport and almost watch everything, as a "sport’s maniac"; do you watch figure skating and other sports like this? Or do you only watch sports like football (soccer), ice hockey, boxing and such?
Hello Helen! When it comes to sport, what really gets my motor running is the excitement. My favourite sport is soccer, but I don’t bother to watch a practice game - it has to count for something. Boxing, I used to love (shame on me); two guys really beating the shit out of one another and getting loads of money for it. Now all the matches are fixed and bought up. Ergo: There’s not too much excitement in that!!! Figure skating – why not? The real excitement is if they fall or not, and then they often have a great piece of music to go with the great fall. (Now I am being nasty – sorry).
But it all comes down to this: Excitement. Today I watched horse jumping, and I loved it. Would the horse and the jockey make it over the next hurdle? I found myself eating my nails - and those beautiful animals; such grace. I also had my clock alarm on at 06:00 this morning to watch the Norwegian handball team (women) win over Sweden. So yeah, you can say, I guess that I am a typical sport’s maniac.
