Daily routines...and some music! PDF E-mail

Hello everyone! Found out that I just missed you guys,- so here´s a little bla-bla ... sort of to please myself and hopefully some of you as well. Not too much music for me these past days since Russia. After that tour I started out with a weekend in Copenhagen. No business, no music - just hanging out with friends. And is there a better place in the whole wide world for that besisdes Copenhagen? Well, if you know of that place - let me know.

Tongue out On the weekend November 28th and 29th I did two Solo-Gigs. That was just me and my accoustic guitar and it is very seldom that I do that kind of a performance. Usually if it says "Private Gig" at my home page, it would be a guest appearance with other musicians or a band. But this was some Companies having what in Norway is called "Julebord", ( a X-mas party ). What this means, basically is that you have a lot of people ( not a few of them hopelesly- heavily drunk ) trying to have fun, while flirting with booze - cigars and working colleagues while listenin to music. Well, to ge their attention you will have to scream your lungs out and hammer the guitar till your fingers bleed and your nails turn black. That is the only way to succeed. Then why do I do it you might ask...?

Well it sort of gets me down to Planet Earth ,- I guess. I always demand a good deal of money for these kinda gigs and if those demands are accepted, well then I am sold ( bummer ). But to be honest - it is a good school doing this and it makes you think back to the days when every gig was a struggle to survive, and by doing so you most certainly get thankful for what you have got.

I also did "A Tribute To Black Sabbath" concert Friday 5th of December with some young musicians I know here in Fredrikstad. It was a challenge, mainly because there is very little that me and Ozzy have in common as singers. When I do these kinda things I really have to try out my throat and my voice and it often brings me to new horizons. I learn a little more about my work-toy - how to twist my voice and turn it into new angles. And this can benefit me later on you know. I mean the more you learn the more you gain!

Well now it is night time, and I thought I had deserved a cold bear and a little chat with you - my friends. I have used the passed days to to work on the stairs down to my cellar. I had to rip off some ugly stuff to begin with, and then get rid of all the glue-shit sticking to the woodwork. I do have some blisters on my fingers due to this slavery, but it is Soooo!!!  worth it. It is going to be beautiful finish. And tomorrow I will oil the stairs to satisfy my aching - working soul.

So much happening next week guys. I will keep you informed just after the weekend. Thanks so much for staying with me through thick and thin.

More soon - I love you all...   Eirikur
