Hello my friends!

No, I am not dead and I don´t intend to  drop dead in near future either. There is no spesial reason for why I have not Blogged for such a long time. You know me,- I am lazy and life just seems to fly by and I am always busy trying to take a part in just that. I have actually been quite busy in this period. Not only with music but also my other hobby,- working with kids that fall out of The System. You know our world is changing so fast and society is not coping with that at all. Parents work so hard tryin to get themselves all the facilities you are supposed to have and enjoy in life. And by doing so they forget one very important thing,- to care for and raise their children properly! After having struggled through a hard day´s work, mum & dad want to settle down in front of the TV and to by themselves some peace they get their kids tons of computer games and all that shit - that simply ruins everyones fantasy and capability to enjoy a "normal" life. You know, kids need and they also want some diciplin. They need to know and learn when their behaviour is out of order and when it is, it may have some consequences. I could easily write a whole book about this issue but I will spare you. But if I ever write a Biography I will have some serious points of views on this society´s collaps. Arrrgh!.      And on to music....

1) My work with Michael and Fredrik in Stockholm has been held on ice until now. We did record six songs in January and we are going to do the rest now between October 11th and 19th. No one knows yet if something will come out of this. I mean if some record companies will want to buy our stuff. But we will of course release it anway, but it is a matter of time and mone.

2) Magic Pie is a band that that doesn´t seem to be in much hurry. Must admit that things go much to slow, even for a lazy bum like me, but - not much I can do about it really. We have recorded drums & bass and the plan is for me to sing during October. But  I have a feeling I will not be done before sometimes in November. Release is not planned until February/March so we still have plenty of time really, but I am getting impatient!!! But I can tell you this CD will make me very proud. I am not so sure all of you are going to like this music but I will exept and respect that as it comes. Remember always...you are my best critics and I will always listen to what you have to say and none of it will offend me. I get involved with things I believe in and when somebody disagrees on that choise I must take notice of that. We can all have different meanings and still be friends just the same - right?

3) Live Fire has been quite busy this year. And in spite of the fact that this is basically a cover band and a back-up for Mr Ken Hensley, I must say that fronting this thing is perhaps the most enjoyable thin I have done in my life, as a musician. Imagine this ; I am singing ( among others ) songs that already were my favorites as a twelve years old. It is in many ways a dream come true for me. We did two gigs here in Norway last week and we are supposed to spend two weeks in Russia in November (???) and by the way - I will appear on Ken´s next CD "Love And Other Mysteries", singing two songs. They are recorded already and I will let you know when the release happens. 

My birthday!  Who´s idea was this - to have a serious concert in Reykjavik! Obs...it  was my own . I spent most of May and all June just regretting this stupid idea of mine. The way it turned out it was way too much work to justify jumping into it. The main reason is that I was not getting the help and assistence I had expected from "my man" back home. Ita s a long and sad story, but it happened. But do not get me wrong though... at the end of the day with all the hard work and swetting behind me I managed to deliver a concert & A Party that will both stay in my memory forever. It went like a miracle, mostly thanks to the great musicians working with me. And we did have a full house-plus! To all of you who took the trip and were there, to salute me- thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thanks to all of you for greetings via mail & sms. If I haven´t answered you, to thank you personally, it is because I had to drop it all together. It would have taken me weeks just to reply everyone, so here it comes... Thank you & I love you too!

My daughter´s wedding was perhaps the highlight for me this summer. She got married on  Friday, July the 17th. I don´t know how it is where you guys live, but here in Scandinavia it is quite unusual to have this seremoni on a Friday. But what a choise! You know this summer was a disaster here in Norway, if you think about the weather. It has benn rainy & windy almost without exception.  That is when yours truly took the matters in his hands. The seremony was to take place outdoors in a small village near Oslo. And the party after was at the Hotel we stayed at. Early that Friday morning I was sitting on the hotel porch with some of the guests and there was a small clearing in the sky right up above our heads. Everywhere around there were these familiar dark clouds just waiting to open up and get us all cold and wet. So for the fun of it I raised my head to the sky and said ; "Hey, if there really is someone up there.- and if you, at the end of my days, intend to give me any kind of a bonus, well then I would appreciate if you would give it to me now in form of sunny skies all througout the remainings of the day". And what do you know - it happened inspite of the weather-forecast telling different. So my friends it is obvious that I have used up all the goodwill there is for me up there. So when I am done here on Earth I guess it is straight down for me, where I will have to answer for all my sins. Anyone that wants to join me ???

Next Blog will come soon! I don´t do any diary and perhaps this is a good venue for just tha. And while I tell you some more about my days I am putting down some valuable memories ( you know in case of my Biography ). Tomorrow I am going to Budapest on a few days vacation. Played there with Live-Fire few weeks ago and I want to see some more. And I am going to load my batteries because this is the month for recording with both Magic-Pie & "Skarr" ( don´t think we will use that name though ). Wish me luck and I will give you all some close information on how the songs develope.
